The general intent of this project is to modify the existing electric fire
pump control for the 300 HP electrically driven fire pump in Building 3499
by demolishing the existing 1200A, 480V Motor Control Center (MCC) and
installing new electrical service equipment and a new UL listed 300 HP Soft
Start/Stop Fire Pump Controller. The existing electric motor will be
reused. The final installation of the fire pump controller shall be
inspected and tested by a certified Fire Protection Specialist.
